Linseed

A simple feed commonly used to prepare mashes, because when linseed is moistened it releases mucilage, a substance that shows protective effects on the gut mucosa. The physical form is small brown seeds. For horse feeding one important nutritive quality is its richness in protein and ω3 and ω6 fatty acids. Not to be fed raw, because it contains an anti-nutritional agent, inactivated by boiling seeds at least for 20 minutes.

Can be ordered in quantities customized, minimum 5 kg
